【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishesallowablelimitsforthevarioustypesofsurfacediscontinuitiesthatmayoccurduringthemanufactureandprocessingofbolts,screws,andstuds,includingheat-treatedmachinescrews,tappingscrews,andsems(thewashersofscrew-washerassembliesareexcluded).Thisspecificationcoversmetricseriesproductswithnominaldiametersof4mmandlargerandwithspecifiedminimumtensilestrengthsof420MPaandhigher;andinchseriesproductswithnominaldiametersofNo.5(0.1250in.)andlargerandwithspecifiedminimumtensilestrengthsof60000psiandhigher.1.2Whentheengineeringrequirementsoftheapplicationnecessitatecontrolofsurfacediscontinuitiesonbolts,screws,orstuds,thepurchasershallspecifyconformancetoASTMSpecificationF788/F788M,intheoriginalinquiryandpurchaseorder.1.2.1Whentheengineeringrequirementsoftheapplicationnecessitatethatsurfacediscontinuitiesonbolts,screws,andstudsbecontrolledwithinlimitscloserthanthosespecifiedinthisspecification,thepurchasershallspecifytheapplicablelimitsintheoriginalinquiryandpurchaseorder.1.3Theallowablelimitsestablishedinthisspecificationformetricbolts,screws,andstudswithnominaldiametersfrom4to24mminclusive,areessentiallyidenticalwithrequirementsgiveninISO6157/I.TherearenoISOstandardsforsurfacediscontinuitiesonanyinch-seriesproducts.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.
