【摘要】:Thetestmethodconcernsthesievingofcokeintodesignatedsizefractionsforthepurposeofcharacterizingthematerialastoitsparticlesizedistribution.Itrequirestheuseofstandardsieves,standardsamplingmethods,standardsamplepreparationmethods,andaminimuminitialsamplemassbasedonlottopsize.Suggestionsaregivenforindustrytypicalsievestacksforbothgreenandcalcinedpetroleumcoke.Particlesizedistributionissignificantinthatmanyphysicalcharacteristicsofacokearerelatedtosuchadistributionincludingbulkdensityandsurfacearea.Nuisancecharacteristics,suchasexcessivefinesinalot,canalsobecontrolled.Resultsfromthistestmethodareusefulindeterminingwhetheracokelotmeetspurchasespecifications,forclassificationpurposes,andforqualitycontrol.Theresultsofthistestmethodcanalsobeusedtopredicttheperformanceofaparticularlotofcokeinaprocess.1.1Thistestmethoddetailsaprocedureforperformingparticlesizedistributionanalysisbydrysievetestingongreenpetroleumcokewithatopsizeofnomorethan75mmandcalcinedpetroleumcokewithatopsizeofnomorethan25mm.Sizefractionsgodowntoandinclude4.75mmforgreenpetroleumcokeand75mforcalcinedpetroleumcoke.Note18212;Toconvertunits,seeTable1onnominaldimensionsinSpecificationE11.Forexample,75mmisapproximatelyequivalenttoanominalsieveopeningof3in.and25mmtoanominalsieveopeningof1in.Likewise,4.75mmcanbeconvertedtoapproximately0.187in.and75micronsto0.0029in.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.ThesievesizeisreportedasU.S.A.standardtestseriesinanyunitslistedinTable1onnominaldimensionsofSpecificationE11,ortheircommercialsizeequivalents.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
