【摘要】:1.1Thesetestmethodscoverdirect-currentproceduresforthemeasurementofdcinsulationresistance,volumeresistance,andsurfaceresistance.Fromsuchmeasurementsandthegeometricdimensionsofspecimenandelectrodes,bothvolumeandsurfaceresistivityofelectricalinsulatingmaterialscanbecalculated,aswellasthecorrespondingconductancesandconductivities.1.2Thesetestmethodsarenotsuitableforuseinmeasuringtheelectricalresistance/conductanceofmoderatelyconductivematerials.UseTestMethodD4496toevaluatesuchmaterials.1.3Thisstandarddescribesseveralgeneralalternativemethodologiesformeasuringresistance(orconductance).SpecificmaterialscanbetestedmostappropriatelybyusingstandardASTMtestmethodsapplicabletothespecificmaterialthatdefinebothvoltagestresslimitsandfiniteelectrificationtimesaswellasspecimenconfigurationandelectrodegeometry.Theseindividualspecifictestmethodologieswouldbebetterabletodefinetheprecisionandbiasforthedetermination.1.4Theproceduresappearinthefollowingsections:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
