【摘要】:Thistestmethodevaluatestheeffectofacirculatingenginecoolantonmetaltestspecimensandautomotivecoolingsystemcomponentsundercontrolled,essentiallyisothermallaboratoryconditions.Thistestmethodspecifiestestmaterial,coolingsystemcomponents,typeofcoolant,andcoolantflowconditionsthatareconsideredtypicalofcurrentautomotiveuse.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareapproximateequivalentsforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection6.
