【摘要】:CodeofFederalRegulations,Title10,835.402statesthatradiologicalworkerswhoarelikelytoreceive100mremfromintakesarerequiredtobemonitoredforexposure.Fortheindirectbioassayforradiologicalworkersexposedtonuclearmaterialcontainingfissionproducts,99Tcmustbemeasuredinurinesamples.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheconcentrationoftechnetium-99inurineusinginductivelycoupledplasma-massspectrometry(ICP-MS).Thistestmethodcanbeusedtosupporturaniumenrichmentandreclamationfacilitybioassayprograms.1.2Theminimumdetectableconcentrationforthistestmethod,usingaquadrupoleICP-MS,isapproximately1.0ng/L(0.62Bq/L).Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
