【摘要】:Thismethodisfordeterminingbasicnitrogeninliquefiedpetroleumgas(LPG).Themethoddeterminesbasicnitrogenspeciesthatareextractablebyaqueousacid,includingammoniaandalkylamines,whichtypicallyadsorbonthestainlesssteelsurfaceofaLPGcylinder.Thismethodislimitedtoammonia,primaryaminescontainingfourorlesscarbonatoms,secondaryaminescontainingeightorlesscarbonatomsandtertiaryamineswithnineorlesscarbonatoms.Alllinearaliphaticsubstituentsoftheamineanalytesmustcontainlessthanfivecarbonatoms.CombinednitrogencanbedeterminedusingUOPMethod936.Nitrilesarenotdetectedbythismethod.Amidesand/orionicsodium,ifpresentataconcentrationof10mass-ppmorgreater,willinterferewiththequantitationofammonia.Potassiumionsintheacidextractcanalsointerferewiththedetectionofmethylamineandethylamine.Theprocedureyieldsquantitativebasicnitrogenresultsintherangeof0.1mass-ppmto3mass-%.
